Higher education scenario in India has witnessed a significant change in approach and also registered remarkable growth. Higher education in Jharkhand too, has readily adapted to the global demands and this institution has geared up to meet the global challenges by harnessing the latest technologies in education front.  Jharkhand is at a juncture where a large number of young men and women are opting for higher education. In the wake of educational competition, the major focus is on creating an optimized and vibrant platform for quality in knowledge enhancement especially in Santhal region.

Tilka Manjhi Agriculture College is an emerging premise in the field of agriculture in northern part of state territory. Keeping in mind the technological enhancement in traditional agriculture in Jharkhand, seven new colleges were opened so that there would be maximum spread of agricultural technologies in their surrounding areas. More mechanized and modern agriculture such as irrigation technology, tillage and harvesting equipment, seeding technology, better quality of seeds, chemical fertilizers and pesticides will lead to higher yield and will make future generations self-sufficient in food production. Farmers can get additional benefits by keeping themselves updated with scientific data and technologies, which can only be obtained from agricultural centre.

This Agriculture College has been on the path of delivering quality education by developing the young human resources with ethical and moral values, while boosting their leadership qualities, research culture and innovative skills. Built on a sprawling land with scenic hills serves as the permanent campus of Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi. The main objective of the college is to provide higher education of inclusive standards. Highly experienced and qualified faculty members, continuously engaged in the maintenance and enhancement of student-centric learning environment through innovative teaching, form the backbone of the college.
