There shall be a Research Council consisting of:-

Chairman – The Vice-Chancellor
Members – 

• The Director of Agriculture, Jharkhand
• The Director of Animal Husbandry, Jharkhand
• All Directors, Deans and Associate Deans of the University, Regional Director of Agriculture Research Institute, Ranchi, Director of Sugarcane Research Institute, Ranchi and Director of Livestock Research.
• All University Professors and Senior Research Specialist.
• Two Scientist of Eminence from the University or outside to be nominated for particular meeting by the Vice-Chancellor for their specialized knowledge of a subject or subjects on the agenda of the meetings.
• Three progressive farmers specialized in general Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor for their specialized knowledge and experience.
